Saint Louis University (SLU) is a Jesuit research institution with campuses in St. Louis, Missouri, United States, and Madrid, Spain. It was founded in 1818 by Louis William Valentine Dubourg. The Madrid campus was established in 1967. It is the first campus to be operated by an American University in Europe and the first authorized American University in Spain
It offers undergraduate and postgraduate programs that can be completed in Spain, or completed at the St. Louis campus. SLU-Madrid teaches in English, while some specific courses are also taught in Spanish.
