What Is Included?
The main requirement to apply for a study visa in Spain is to be enrolled in an educational program of at least 20 hours per week in an accredited educational institution.
The student visa processing time can take between 1-4 months, depending on the country of origin. It is of paramount importance that you collaborate closely with our specialized student visa lawyer and listen to our advise to get the process done as quickly as possible.
Our visa success rate is 95%. However, in case your visa is unsuccessful we will provide a partial refund, depending the reason of rejection. We are experts in making your study abroad journey a success, but we do not refund for cases out of our power, e.g. if you show up late for your embassy appointment or do not bring the documents we prepared.
You need to prove financial solvency equally to 100% of the IPREM per month of visa duration you are applying for. In 2023, IPREM equals 600 € monthly or 7,200 € for 12 months. You need to provide a bank statement proving the source of the funds, which needs to be legalized and translated through the proper channels.
You can travel around all the Schengen countries (27 countries) with your Spain student visa. If you want to leave the Schengen area, whilst your residence permit card is still in process, you would need to get a return permit in order to leave and re-enter Spain.
During the first 90 days of your arrival in Spain you will have to register as a local citizen with the town hall. This process is called Empadronamiento, and it is the first step in your residence permit process for the NIE or TIE card.
With a Spanish student visa you are allowed to work up to 30h per week. During summer break, when there are no classes you are even able to work up to 40h per week. However, it comes with limitations. Work cannot become the main source of livelihood at the economic level of the student, as your primary purpose for the student visa is studying. The working contract must be part-time, and never coincide with or overlap with school hours or class training.
